Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences

The Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences was founded in 1930 by the Association of Educational Renaissance and was named the Free School of Political Economy. It is the fifth oldest institution of higher education in Greece and the first school of political sciences. Today, Panteion University has nine academic departments covering the full range of social and political sciences, with nine gender-focused university courses and an Interdisciplinary Master’s Programme on “Gender, Society, Politics”. Since 2006, Panteion has been operating the Centre for Gender Studies, a research laboratory that meets the teaching and research needs in the field of gender in social policy and the analysis of gender equality policies at international, European, national and local levels. Finally, the annual TEDxPanteionUniversity (since 2016) hosts excellent talks by leading experts, scholars and activists on gender and/or LGBTI issues, informing and raising awareness among the general public.

To date, Panteion is involved in the implementation of EU-funded projects, including projects funded by the Rights, Equality and Citizenship (REC) Programme, the Erasmus+ Programme and Horizon 2020.

Panteion University, as a coordinating partner of the project and an experienced research institution, is in charge of the overall management, quality procedures and research activities throughout the implementation of UniDiversity.

Colour Youth LGBTQ Community of Athens

Colour Youth was created in 2011 to create a space for LGBTQ youth to better express themselves and assert their rights! We envision a world where homophobia, biphobia, transphobia are eliminated. A society where there is no discrimination based on sexuality, gender, or body. We wield colorful markers and draw colorful reality. Our mission is to highlight the problems we face and position ourselves bravely in the social and political canvas that surrounds us. We aim to raise social awareness regarding our community´s demands, apply institutional pressure for the modernization of the legal framework regarding gender identity and sexual orientation, and create a strong youth community functioning as a shelter for every LGBTQ person.

Diversity Development Group

Founded in 2012, NGO Diversity Development Group (DDG) is a non-profit organization with an objective to carry out social (scientific, applied, and infrastructural) projects and research in the field of human trafficking, human rights, education, equal opportunities, diversity, migration, and integration. DDG experience covers qualitative and quantitative research, evaluation of migrant integration indicators, and monitoring tools of migration policies. The strategic aim of the organization is to improve and manage diversity towards a sustainable, tolerant, and socially responsible society.

Avvocatura per i Diritti LGBTI

Avvocatura per i diritti LGBT+(Legal Profession for LGBT+ rights) is an association of lawyers and trainees established in 2007 with the aim of fostering and spreading knowledge on LGBT+ people’s rights (lesbians, gay, bisexuals, transgender, and intersexuals). The Association promotes research and information on LGBT+ issues among Legal Professionals, advocating for the advancement and respect of differences. The Association offers legal supports to homosexual, transsexual and intersexual individuals, fighting against discrimination. The Association engaged in thousands of free legal advice and, among them, is providing legal support to over 500 same-sex couples who got married abroad.
